In 1971, two of Sweden’s most beloved musical talents came together for a memorable duet. Lars Berghagen, a popular singer-songwriter, joined forces with Anni-Frid Lyngstad, better known as Frida from ABBA, to record “En kväll om sommarn” (An Evening in Summer).
Long before ABBA became a global pop sensation, they started with a humble yet powerful message: “People Need Love.” Released in 1972, this was the group’s debut single under the name “Björn & Benny, Agnetha & Anni-Frid,” marking the beginning of their journey to worldwide fame.
Among ABBA collectors, „Sång till Görel“ is considered the holy grail. This extremely rare 12-inch single was produced exclusively for the 30th birthday of Görel Hanser, the personal assistant of ABBA’s manager Stig Anderson, in 1979.
